Coast Guard continues search for missing Spring Lake swimmer
Coast Guard this morning continued a pattern search of the beaches of Belmar and north looking for a swimmer who is missing from the beaches of Spring Lake Sunday 5pm ...Helicopters and boats searched thru the night looking for the man ...this photo was take at 8:30am off the beach in Belmar NJ

I was there and this was very sad. The lifeguard team brought in from other areas and coast guard did a great job. It did not appear that a second body/person was found in a search. I would also not be surprised if there was no second person but we shall see.
The rescued person was still being given CPR 5-7 minutes after being pulled on shore and brought to the ambulance. It did not look good but I hope he makes it. The surfers who got him in did an excellent job but they were grim because he literally was pulled out to them and unconscious. No one was near him in the water; moving around was tough with the storm. No one knows too much about the man because there were no other accompanying parties on shore.
