Belmar PTO will give scholarships

Belmar PTO will give scholarships

BELMAR: The Belmar Elementary School's Parent Teacher Organization will award $1,000 college scholarships to two graduates of the borough's eighth-grade Class of 2003 at a Board of Education meeting Thursday.

One scholarship will be awarded to Mary Hoehl, who will graduate from the Academy of Allied Health and Science in June. Hoehl, of Lake Como, plans to pursue a degree in speech language pathology.

Nicole Dietrich of Belmar will receive the other scholarship. Dietrich attends Manasquan High School and plans to pursue a mathematics degree.
