Seafood Festival

BELMAR — Crabs, lobsters, shrimp and every other kind of seafood are rolling into town this weekend for the 21st annual New Jersey Seafood Festival.

The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, in Silver Lake Park, on Ocean Avenue between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

Entertainers include: Brian Kirk & the Jirks, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; Chuck Lambert Band, 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; The Jazz Lobsters, 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday; RB Express, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday; and the Willie Lynch Band, 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

There also will be a children's activity tent.


A free trolley will run throughout the event making various stops, including the Belmar train station, Belmar marina, the tourism information booth at 10th and Ocean avenues, the Taylor Pavilion at Fifth and Ocean avenues and the corner of Main Street and Fifth Avenue.
